Ms. Jessica Hong B Acc. CA(M)

Jessica is a Chartered Accountant with many years in professional practice at Price Waterhouse Coopers. Her work experiences covered a variety of organizations across different industries in recent years. Aside from professional accounting she has also acquired in-depth knowledge and skills in credit control and account management in sales and marketing when she was Finance Manager at Diethelm Malaysia, a Swiss based multinational trading house with various regional operations across the world.

Currently she designs and delivers financial skills training programmes for organizations such as the Giant Group (part of Diary Farm – Jardine Matheson Group, HK), OCBC Bank, Maxis Communications Bhd. and the PNB Group Malaysia. She also regularly trains outside Malaysia for clients including the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) and Cambodian financial institutions.

Thomas Lai MBA

Thomas has more than 30 years work experiences in the field of people development, team building, quality service training and consulting. He has had trained employees from the education, healthcare, financial services, retail, direct selling, manufacturing and telecommunication industries. His clientele includes government agencies such as the Securities Commission, family owned businesses, public listed and multi-national firms such as the UEM Group. He was the Training Manager of OSK Holdings Bhd. and a HR specialist for a national retail company. He had also worked for 5 years with a Singapore based training and consulting firm as their Country Manager for Malaysia.

Thomas Lai is a certified Emotional Intelligence trainer and possesses an MBA in TQM from Newport University, USA. He has also been a part time MBA lecturer on IT Project Management, HRM and Quality and Operations Management, Organizational Behavior and Strategic Management. Thomas has also received certification in Transactional Analysis 101.

Currently, he designs and conducts skills development on customer service, quality management and organisation performance in Brunei, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Mongolia.

Mr. Richard Muraleedarren MRHM LLB (Lond).

Mr. Muralee is a human behaviour change specialist and his area of work aims to benefit individuals and  organizations through achieving team synergy and peak performance. Muralee is a passionate training facilitator with a keen interest in human development and company improvement. Among the organizations he has been consulting for during the past ten years includes various insurance companies such as Malaysian National Insurance Bhd. ING Insurance, and multinational companies such as Nestle, Pepsico International and Petronas Malaysia.

Presently Mr. Muralee is involved in designing and development leadership development training programmes as well as a regular training facilitator to enhance human capital and organizational effectiveness. The clients he works with include Heineken, British American Tobacco, banks in Myanmar and Bangladesh.

Mr. Ganesh Sangaran B Soc Sc.

Mr. Ganesh is an accomplished training consultant and communication specialist with over 20 years of field experiences and practice. Ganesh was Head of the College of Sales and Marketing, Maxis Academy, a member of the Maxis Communications Bhd. Group. He is also currently President of the Toastmasters International, an international non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging self development among people in our community. In the course of his career, Ganesh has contributed in developing people and creating positive impact in executive performances at Maxis as well as other organizations he had work with.

He holds degree in Sociology and Psychology from Universiti Malaya and is a certified practitioner for various management and people development techniques including Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). He is certified to conduct Think On Your Feet ® Programme and HBDI.

Ganesh also oversees the development of international operations of Finet Associates while actively involved in course design and delivery on communication skills, people and performance management.

Patrick Foo MBA MICM

Mr. Patrick Foo is a professional member of the British Institute of Credit Management and obtained his MBA from the University of Missouri, USA. He has many years of experiences in credit management and credit control in the Financial Services, FMCG, Electrical and IT industries. In the last 30 years he has held senior positions in Multinational Corporations and was responsible for establishing their credit control departments. Among the organizations he had worked with include National Panasonic, NEC Japan, Pengkalen Securities and F&N Coca Cola Malaysia.

His work included the design, implementation and development credit policies and credit control processes in these companies. Presently he is actively involved in conducting public seminars and in-house consultancy in credit management and debt management. He also undertakes assignments to develop credit policies, credit control processes and collection procedures for SMES (small and medium sized enterprises) to enable them to obtain their ISO certification.

Mr. Arnold Kwan FCCA

Arnold Kwan is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), with more than 20 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry, having worked with both local and international financial institutions in various capacities. He has had experiences and skills in risk management, corporate finance, capital markets, wealth management services, offshore private banking and commercial banking.

His last posting in Malaysia was as the Chief Officer and Head of Private Banking at Citibank Malaysia. Subsequent he was appointed by BNP Paribas Singapore, as its Managing Director for the Malaysian Private Banking Operations.

Arnold is presently involved in corporate advisory activities and sits on the boards of  some public-listed companies. Aside from this he is actively involved in people development and professional work skills training in finance, capital markets and management development. He is a regular training consultant for the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB).

Mr. Calvin Tay B Bus. Admin., BA – Psych., Macquarie University, Australia

Calvin joins the team as a proven and established leader, drawing from his most recent experience with The Salvation Army Employment Plus (TSAEP), Sydney, Australia, where he has served as Area Manager, Site Manager, and Employment Consultant. During his tenure at TSAEP, he has also been a member of the Tender Writing Team, and various Working Parties (e.g. Servicing Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Cohorts) created to improve organisational processes and reach organisational goals and objectives.

Calvin has also trained and facilitated various TSAEP programmes to numerous internal and external stakeholders, from Training in Job Search Techniques, to Industry Specific Programmes, and stand-alone Fast Track Modules which include topics such as Time Management, Confidence, and Motivation.

With more than 5 years Sales and Marketing experience from previous positions held in both SME’s such as Home Painting Solutions (Australia) and MNC’s such as American Express Charge Cards (Malaysia), he has been charged with managing and leading sales teams and training new staff in techniques to identify prospects, telemarketing, handling objections, and effective negotiation.

Currently, Calvin manages day-to-day operations of Finet, and is responsible for the strategies that ensure Finet’s continued growth and success including the development of new e-learning initiatives, forming strategic partnerships and alliances to develop new products and services for the domestic market, and identifying new opportunities for growth in regional and global markets. He is also a Director of the Australia New Zealand Institute, NSW, a human capital development organisation for people development.

Mr Jimmy Phua BA (Econs)

Jimmy Phua currently sits on the panel of Senior Consultants at Finet Consulting Cambodia and Finet Associates Malaysia. He is a trade finance specialist with more than 35 years of practical working experience, majoring in trade operations, trade sales, development of new trade financing instruments and structuring trade finance deals including actively guiding and advising the Branch Managers and Relationship Managers in Corporate and Investment Banking. He has headed both the Trade Operations, Trade Products Development and Trade Sales in his capacity as Vice President and General Manager of some major local and foreign banks in Malaysia. He was also responsible for the Trade fee and interest income targets and KPIs of some of the Banks he worked for.

Jimmy has conducted Trade Finance courses, workshops and in-house training programs for Banks, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), Asian Banking School, Public Training Providers and Trade NGOs. He has also presented papers on Trade Financing In Malaysia in some Trade Conferences. Jimmy was Trade Advisor for EXIM Bank Malaysia’s Working Committee on the Export Credit Refinancing Scheme besides serving as a member in BNM’s New Trade Products Working Committee, BNM’s Bankers Acceptances Working Committee and ICC Malaysia’s Banking Committee and Task Group.

Jimmy started his career with Malayan Banking Bhd before moving to The Chase Manhattan Bank, now JP Morgan, (AVP Head Trade Finance), Kwong Yik Bank (GM) and Deutsche Bank (VP Head Of Trade Services). He was Trade Advisor for EXIM Bank Malaysia (VP), Alliance Bank Malaysia (GM), AmBank Malaysia (VP) and as VP in OCBC Malaysia before his retirement. Jimmy is currently being engaged as a Trade Consultant for trade system development and trade skills training at various banks for international trade operations.

Mr. Kenny Tay FCCA FCMA CA(M)

Kenny is a Chartered Accountant with many years of financial experiences in the banking, finance and corporate sector, including over twenty years of people development and financial skills training inside and outside Malaysia.

His major work experiences included a long stint with the merchant bank affiliate of the Chase Manhattan Bank (now JP Morgan) before moving to the Royal Trust Co, Canada, and finally with the United Overseas Bank, Sydney operations. He was also a capital market licensed holder in the Australian and Malaysian securities markets before specialising in financial skills and human capital development.

Currently he designs and delivers training courses to banks and non-bank organisations across Asia and leads the training team at the Australia New Zealand Institute, NSW, where he is the CEO. His teaching and training experiences and skills have been used in training events for more than 20000 participants since 2000.

He has also authorised some publications among which is ‘Corporate and Business Lending’ for banking managers and ‘Financial Intelligence’ for the general readers. Both books are available at Google Books.

Mr. Stanley ON Yap MBA, FCCA, CPA, CIA

Stanley is a former lecturer at Sunway University, former founding President of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Malaysia, and held senior corporate positions in finance and internal audit over the past 30 years of professional life. Stanley has over thirty years of experience in external auditing, internal auditing, commerce, banking and consulting . Among the senior appointments he had held include that of Group General Manager / Group Company Secretary of a public-listed conglomerate, and Head of Internal Audit of another public-listed conglomerate and for the oldest bank in Malaysia. Stanley will impart the knowledge in accounting, auditing, finance and management, that he has acquired and will share experiences that he has gained over the years as Chairman of Audit Committees; Vice-President Finance; Chief Internal Auditor; and, Group Chief Operating Officer in various industries and as well as a Senior Academic in a few renowned business schools in Malaysia.

Mr. Aaron ST Koo MBA B. Com.

Aaron was trained as an accountant and worked in the commercial and industrial environment for 20 over years before taking up lecturing and training positions, among which as senior lecturer at Taylor’s University. Aaron received his training in accounting from an international Big – 4 accounting firm. Subsequently, he joined various publicly listed companies and was involved in various roles in Sales and Marketing, Manufacturing, Operation and Logistics, Human Resource Management, and Business Development in diverse industries, both locally and overseas. He took on the role of General Manager in 2003 and was a Chief Operating Officer – cum – Acting Chief Financial Officer of a public listed company in 2008 – 2014. He was also a General Manager in charged of overseas operation for a public listed company in 2015 – 2018. Currently he focuses on human capital development and academic training. He have much insight and knowledge to offer  in various areas of accounting and finance and management too.
