Financial accounting
Businesses will always need accounting and auditing services wherever they operate, even for online businesses. This is because of regulatory and taxation requirements. Although there are accounting software, many parts of these work activities are still require work of the accounting and auditing staff.
Besides the accounting activities, a business organization also requires management of its daily cash flow, and financial administration like keeping up company loan repayments and collection of payments from customers. Some individuals may be attracted towards financial administration work before seeking opportunities to be a financial manager
The banking and financial services sector is a large part of the local economy, and job opportunities for credit and loan services are constant and rewarding. As a holder of the Diploma in SME Lending, the individual has an excellent opportunity to secure a role as a junior business loan officer, credit analyst or loan monitoring executive in a bank or credit company
Marketing and sales work opportunities are endless as long as there are commercial activities in the economy. Everyday businesses produce volumes of goods and services for sale. There is always a non-stop requirement to market and sell these goods and services. Now that sales and marketing are moving online, the role for sales and marketing has become even much bigger, and therefore requires better skilled and knowledgeable sales and marketing employees. That is why job opportunities are endless
Human capital is the knowledge and skills to carry out activities and tasks required by
customers and employers, and in the process create value for the business.. Education
with work-based knowledge and ability to apply and solve problems with the
knowledge is human capital of the individual, and is a life-long personal asset that
cannot be robbed, stolen or simply lost. Therefore work-based education is the best
insurance for economic and financial independence and the ability to survive in the new
uncertain world after the pandemic.
The Australia New Zealand Institute or ANZ Institute, is a human capital development
organization, dedicated to the development and enhancement of learning and skills of
the individual to contribute to the employers and the marketplace, and secure
financial and economic independence for a comfortable life.
Now with widespread global telecommunication technology, the ANZ Institute is
accelerating its human capital development activities. Human capital acquisition is now
possible for people from low income and disadvantaged communities. The ANZ Institute
continues to work with employers, government agencies, professional experts and
social organizations to achieve greater human capital development and improving lives.
The series of work-based diploma programmes has been designed to provide young
people, particularly high school leavers, with entry-level work knowledge and skills for a
commercial career. Each Applied Diploma is different from most diploma courses in
normal colleges and universities in terms of –
1. Focus on work-based knowledge
2. Emphasis on application and problem –solving at the workplace, and
3. Short duration of 10 months.
• Study commitments and learning assessment of each student remain the standard
requirements before the Applied Diploma is awarded by the ANZ Institute. The
Diploma award is not to be used for academic purposes or for further university
education
Each Applied Diploma programme requires
• 90% attendance of virtual classes
• Submission of required assignments
• Undertaking various learning assessments
• Any requirements of the ANZ Institute
The work-based diploma provides the individual with an opportunity to seek a commercial employment in the banking sector, accounting profession or commercialindustrial organizations. In some instances, the diploma holder can even explore online independent work opportunities in the gig economy, in place of formal employment. It empowers young people and provide new options
It is always a blessing to be able to go to the University for an education and
become a learned person, or becoming someone useful and respected. Parents
take pride in encouraging and providing the means and financial resources to get
their children to go to the University. However, in today’s environment, education has become costly for many lower income families, and the rapid change in
our economic and technological environment, has made it difficult for some
young people to learn and catch up with fast transforming world.
Learning, like before, has never been a never-ending journey for an individual.
Without having a University degree today, is no longer a disadvantage as before.
This because learning is a life-long activity, even if one gets an MBA degree.
Besides, the knowledge learnt some years ago, needs to be updated with new
knowledge and work experiences too. Besides a 4-year university degree, there
are now much shorter routes like the ANZ Institute Applied Diploma courses.
Going to the University is now an option, not a must. It can also wait….
