This programme introduces and develops financial skills for every day commercial decision-making by business executives. This is a structured study programme that leads to the Certificate In Financial Management (Cert FM) awarded by the Australia New Zealand Institute, NSW (the ANZ Institute). The Certificate confirms that the holder has acquired basic financial management knowledge and possesses skills in applying financial concepts and tools in everyday business issues. It is, however, not an academic certification for further educational purposes. This is an adult learning programme with emphasis on skills development, problem solving ability and application of knowledge.
Participants will demonstrate their acquisition of these financial skills during the course through a formal assessment comprising of assignments and a final assessment of application ability before being awarded the Certificate in Financial Management by the ANZ Institute. Participants are required to complete all the 6 modules with accompanying assignments within 12 months and successfully pass one final assessment on knowledge application. The programme can be completed on an accelerated basis within 6 months as a corporate executive learning activity. Participants may choose to undertake individual modules. Upon completion of each individual module, the participant will receive a Certificate of Learning.
